For Serious Chocoholics Only... WIN a copy of the book!

Our brand new Chocoholics Indulgence Gift Box features the wonderfully illustrated and quirky book 'A Born To Shop Chocoholic'.  This delightful book includes deliciously indulgent choccy recipes and is accompanied by a delicious selection of chocolates all perfectly presented in an exclusive 'Hamper Boutique' gift box... this gift box is for serious chocoholics only!

As a treat to myself I have a copy of the book at home and baked the Chocalicious Cupcakes over the weekend which were absolutely divine! Here's the recipe.  The mixture is enough for 12 cupcakes but I would definitely recommend baking more!  A few went missing before I served them (erm, whilst they were cooling, I just couldn't help myself!) so next time I'll be doubling up on the mixture that's for sure.

'Chocalicious Cupcakes Recipe'

You'll need -

150g Softened Butter
150g Caster Sugar
175g Self-Raising Flour
50g Cocoa Powder
3 Large Eggs
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract

Here's how to bake -

Heat the oven to 180°C or Gas Mark 4
Line a cupcake pan with your cupcake papers
Gently break the eggs into a cup and beat lightly with a fork
Place all the ingredients in a large bowl
Beat with electric mixer for around 2 minutes or at least until the mixture is light and fluffy
Spoon the cupcake mixture evenly between the paper cases.
Bake in the centre of the oven for 15-20 minutes or until risen and firm to touch
Leave to cool for a few minutes and then transfer to a wire rack (try to keep hands off of them at this stage!)

Once completely cool you can decorate with frosting or icing and enjoy. I enjoyed mine with chocolate frosting and cadbury's flake... yum!
