It's the Queen's 'real' birthday today, she was born on April 21st 1926...

The Queen has two birthdays (probably everyone's dream!) her real birthday and her public birthday held in a day during the summer in the month of June when nicer, warmer weather is to be expected.
Her real birthday will be marked publicly by gun salutes in central London at noon with a 41 gun salute in Hyde Park together with a 21 gun salute in Windsor Great Park and a 62 gun salute at the Tower of London. She then usually spends her actual birthday celebrating privately.
On her official birthday held on a Saturday in June the Queen is joined by other members of the Royal Family at the spectacular Trooping the Colour parade which moves between Buckingham Palace, The Mall and Horseguards’ Parade.
